Are Martial Arts right for your child?
An alternative to team sports: There are many advantages to participating in martial arts over team sports. If you have a child who does not enjoy team-related activities, martial arts provide a way for your child to learn not only physical skills, but also mental skills such as concentration and memory.
Safer than other activities: Study after study has shown that participation in a well-run martial arts school is far safer than any other physical activity your child is likely to be involved in.

Confidence builders: Some children begin martial arts with a lack of self-confidence. Perhaps this is because they are small, or fragile, or have been bullied. With training your child will quickly begin to act and feel more confident. Martial arts training can also be an aid in developing good manners.
Working out the aggression: Another advantage of the martial arts disciplines, according to instructors, is that aggressive behavior is discouraged outside of class. Since children who “bully” others often have self-esteem issues, the martial arts helps to strengthen self-confidence.

Are you wondering if this is the right Martial Art system for your child? Here is how to find out.
Step 1: Call the school and arrange an appointment to meet with one of our staff instructors. During your first meeting we will speak to you about your Martial Arts and fitness goals and review the class schedule.
Step 2: If after your initial discussion you determine that this does sound like a Martial Arts program you would be interested in enrolling your child in, he or she will be invited to attend the classes FREE for one week.
Step 3: After the FREE WEEK, sit down with one of our staff and choose the program and classes which work best for your schedule. Your child will then be invited to an Introduction Class. This class will teach the skills necessary for participating in the group classes. Our goal for your first lesson, is to determine the level of fitness your child is at, so that we can tailor the first few classes to his or her needs. It is very important to us that your child feels comfortable. We want your child to know enough about the basic skills, so that he or she can actively participate in the class with the other students.
