A Good Day to Leave

[gallery link="file" columns="4"] There is actually no good day to leave Thailand, unless of course there is Ebola, or a breakout of H1N1, or a political coup involving a mass exodus of katoeys, etc, etc.  But if there is a day to leave it was going to be today.  I woke up feeling rough and decided to nurse myself in the café gulping down coffee and Advil.  It was a perfect blend of cool breeze and the bright sun drifting in and out of the tree branches.  Definitely a morning to chil-lax and reflect on this particular trip and life. I am happy to announce that I actually packed everything on time and I will not have to speed off to the airport.  It was cool / sad to see my entourage see my off to the airport. Thanks to the girls that worked at the hotel (reception, cleaning crew) who helped me out a lot, especially during some of the evenings when we could not find our rooms :o Thanks to all of the coaches, Long and Yut who were really patient, encouraging, motivational and entertaining.  I have learned a lot from you guys; not just about Muay Thai, but also about the simple things of life. Thanks to Mr. Ooh and especially Kru Pak for taking care of me and being my guide throughout the city and camp.  Showing me the roughness and the beauty of Thailand, a country with many startling contrasts.  Thanks Kru Pak for teaching me the finer details and strategies of Muay Thai. Finally thanks to my team mates and especially my brother, Kru Mehdi.  Things don’t always work out the way they should be, but trust me, you and I will sort it out.  Ok Kombat, I’m getting ready to land in Taipai.  Getting ready for the next leg of my trip…Jd
