Ok the JC Santana MMA Strength and Conditioning seminar was awesome! On day one we covered a lot of theory (which BTW was explained in really easy layman terms), testing techniques, push up routines, swiss ball exercises and tonnes of body weight exercises. On day two we covered more theory, such as program design, nutrition and cutting weight. We also did some band, med ball, dumb bell matrices, and some fighter circuits. Trust me, on day 2 we got a workout in! First and foremost JC is an awesome presenter, and is very passionate about his work. His positive attitude is really contagious. And technically he knows his stuff, yet he has a gift for making the science relatively easy to learn. At age 51 JC is jacked and man he is functional! I also want to say thanks to Connie for reaching out to us and trusting our staff and facility to run this program for you. You're a great hostess and we look forward to working with you in the future! David and Slavko really did well in the course and showed that Kombat boys can kick butt, on all levels! The course had 26 participants from various backgrounds, and from all over Canada and the States. I have to say one thing though. It is always good to have a friendly reminder of what a great school, student base (community) and atmosphere we have at Kombat Arts. Many people at the seminar, including JC were ecstatic over the club. Many of them took photos and videotaped the school. It's great to see that all of our hard work has payed off. It was also good to run into some old friends, people that I have trained or trained with. I've been doing martial arts for 27 years, and sometimes I forget the great people that I have influenced, and those that have definitely influenced me. So if you guys ever get a chance to train with JC, I totally advocate that you do so. I will be getting a vid soon of our training, and I'll try to post a few clips on here-Joey de Los Reyes
