- He's a company and fan favourite, but that's three Ls in a row for Joe Stevenson. He obviously can't hang around in the stacked 155 lbs division. Does the UFC cut him? Or will they let him try a drop to 145 lbs?
- This is the second time Brian Bowles has defeated Damacio Page by guillotine at 3:30 of round one. The EXACT same thing happened on August 3, 2008. Crazy coincidence. Feels like an episode of LOST. (Don't tell Bowles what he can't do.)
- Despite some protesting from fans and the loser, I'm fine with the Mark Munoz vs. CB Dollaway stoppage.
- I used a weigh-in picture because Diego Sanchez's face was a mess by the end of the fight. If you thought Josh Koscheck looked grisly after his rematch with GSP...
- Another controversial decision, and it's the second close-contest that the judges edged away from Martin Kampmann. (A similar decision was reached after his fight with Jake Shields.)
- Would you be up for a Sanchez vs. B.J. Penn rematch? It's hard to call who fights whom next. The welterweight division is in an interesting place after Penn's draw with Jon Fitch and the possibility of champion Georges St. Pierre moving to middleweight.
- Either way though, two exciting, relevant welterweight main events in a row from the UFC. We've seen a lot of great MMA so far this year.
