Kombat Arts is a proud donor to ONE Piece Productions' sold out inaugural charity gala event on October 19. ONE Piece Productions was founded in 2012 by a family who wanted to give back to the Autism community. It believes that the key to unlocking Autism and finding a treatment takes ONE person, ONE donation, and ONE hope.
Studies say that physical activity, sports and exercise benefit individuals with Autism in numerous ways. To help promote the benefits of a physical culture, Kombat has donated a membership and full starter kit including all the equipment needed to start pursuing a life of martial arts practice.
According to autismspeaks.org:
Besides improving fitness, motor function, and behavior in individuals with autism, among the most important advantages of physical activity are the social implications of participating in sports and exercise. Physical activity can promote self-esteem, increase general levels of happiness, and can lead to positive social outcomes, all highly beneficial outcomes for individuals with autism.More info on Autism from ONE Piece Productions:
Autism is a complex neurobiological disorder. It is part of a group of disorders known as autism spectrum disorders(ASD). Today, 1 in 88 individuals is diagnosed with autism, making it more common than pediatric cancer, diabetes, and AIDS combined. It occurs in all racial, ethnic, and social groups and is four times more likely to strikeboys than girls.
