Here's a blast from Martin McVeigh on Kombat kids Myles and Aidan, who competed in a Jiu-Jitsu tournament with light striking last weekend in Milton. Aidan on the podium Myles was caught between two divisions but refused to back down from a challenge. He ended up facing some older, stronger opponents. The odds were stacked against him but he did well holding his own, showing great defensive skills after securing guard. Aidan did very well and finished first in his division. Martin extends his thanks to everyone at Kombat. "Both the boys have come so far in the last six months and learned so much from all of you - and it really showed on Sunday," he said. Aidan receives his trophy Here's Aidan's tourney breakdown, courtesy of Martin. 6 competitors in his division from Milton, Barrie & Brockville 3 series of 2 round matches Series 1 - Won both rounds to win the match and receive a second series bye Series 2 - Bye Finals - Won both rounds, a very close first round by one point, and had a very strong second round to win the match and 1st place
