Kombat Arts will be hosting 2 free workshops for all those Green level and above in our Muay Thai Program. On April 13 there will be a Crossfighting Workshop. This will introduce students to intermediate partner drills, covering all ranges; kicking, punching and clinching range. Attributes such as timing, distance and accuracy will be improved. You will need the following equipment: mouthpiece, 14/16 oz gloves, groin cup and shin pads. On April 20, we will host a Sparring Workshop. Here students will be led through relatively safe progressive sparring situations. Kru Joey de Los Reyes will show students training drills from Savate, boxing and Jeet Kune Do to add to Muay Thai's already rich tool box. Students will learn techniques, tactics, ring management and a progressive system on how to spar. You will need the following: Headgear, mouthpiece, 14/16 oz gloves, groin cup and shin pads. Both of these workshops start at 12 and will end around 1 or 130, depending on how many participants register. You need to do 2 things: If you need gear, download the flyer and bring to our Kombat Store, to get 10% of Muay Thai fight gear. Register here for the workshops, or you can also visit us at our front desk and register: https://alapaha.wufoo.com/forms/z7x2r7/ Here are a couple of videos illustrating what we will be doing for our Muay Thai Sparring Workshop on Apr 20: Introducing Sparring for Beginners Introducing Sparring for Beginners Step 2
