https://youtu.be/kWkon-mgUjc This is a video produced by Jason of JSNJAY DESIGN at jsnjay.com on how to properly use the heavy bag for boxing, kickboxing, Muay Thai, savate or any striking art. A few quick points: Make sure that when you are striking that you are using sharp penetrating blows; not pushing the bag. Work all ranges. Boxing, clinch and kicks. If you are doing a kickboxing art, make sure to do a lot of kicks. Even though the bag is for power, respect the range. Just don't blindly smash the bag; are you in the proper range? Work some footwork. Check your defense or stance. Chin down, hands up, elbows close and forward. Imagine the bag is striking you; work some defense. Need some combinations for the heavy bag?
