Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Grading

[gallery ids="16813,16812,16811"]

Last year the Kombat Arts held a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu grading on December 13, 2014.

This year was very exceptional, as we had a lot of KOMBAT students that received Blue and Purple belts. In total we had 15 new promotions! Congrats to all of the newly belted students and for those that got striped!

Professor Amir was sharing some of the requirements that he looks for in a student as they prepare for a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu grading:

Attendance. Can't get your skills evaluated if you don't show up. Simple as that.

Competition. Even though it is not necessary to compete in all competitions, Professor Amir would like a student to try and compete in ONE competition.

Attitude. KOMBAT ARTS is a team and a family. When possible try to help your team mates; when they need help with a technique, getting ready for a competition, rolling or even greeting new students as they get on the mat for the first time. Especially if you are a higher belt. It is better to try and help your team mates. By making your team mates better, they will in turn push you and you will also get better.

Again, let us all congratulate the Kombat Arts BJJ Team and their Brazilian Jiu Jitsu grading.
