Kombat Fight Team Tryouts
Hey Everyone. Team Kombat will be having Open Tryouts on April 16th at 12 Noon for those who wish to participate in our upcoming Sparfest Event. We are looking to have the Sparfest Demo in late May/Early June. For those wishing to tryout on April 16th, please sign up with Coach Sean Fulgencio.
The following criteria will be used in the Tryout process:
- 5km run (target < 30 mins)
- Conditioning drills
- 100 kicks per leg < 3mins per round/leg
- 1x round of pad work with a coach
- Sparring
If you ever wanted to compete, now is your chance. Train like an athlete and we will set up a "match" for you. The Sparfest demo is a great opportunity for athletes to test themselves in a competitive environment, and provide them with a "fight like" experience. For Beginners, it gives you the option to build your experience before officially competing in a sanctioned event. It provides members and athletes a venue to demonstrate and showcase their training, and give those who may not want to compete out-of-house or in a sanctioned event an opportunity to compete.
For Seasoned Athletes, the demo is a tool to keep their skills and training sharp, and to work off "ring rust" for those who are looking to to compete again after a break. It also provides an opportunity to showcase our "top talents" in a demonstrative setting.
