Kombat Boxing Athletes Taran Toor, Joey Dipisquale Jr., John Michael Bianco, and Mckenzie Wright all represented themselves well at the No Excuses Boxing Event in Burlington last weekend. IMG-20160605-WA0000
Taran Toor made his debut and stopped Brett Huard from Valley East Boxing Club. Taran came back after losing the first round and dominated the second. The officially stopped the action to protect the fighter. This is Taran's first fight and first win.
Joey Dipisquale Jr. faced a hard hitting opponent from Guelph. He won the first round, but his opponent was able to controll the next two rounds and took the fight. This is Joey's first loss since winning the Silver Glove Tournament.
John Michael Bianco had a rematch against Thad from Motor City Boxing. John Michael edged out the match by continuously delivering the blows unanswered, however the judges were split and sided with the opponent. Controversial, however this sets up a rubber match between the two fighters.
McKenzie Wright had a rematch against one of the top boxers in the country, Sara Haghighat-Joo. Both boxers were displaying boxing at its finest and kept the fight tight in score. Unfortunately Sara got the judges nod and won the bout.
