  • Kombat Arts Challenge is here!!

    Ok, summer is around the corner and it's time to get in great shape!  Linda has issued a Kombat Challenge!   However it's for YOU to challenge yourself.  You will have 9 weeks to not only change your body, but also your fitness level (strength, endurance, power, etc).  Essentially on April 20 come in to register and we will take some piks of you (which will not be posted online) and run you through some physical fitness tests.  At the end of the 9 weeks, we'll evaluate your progress and declare a "winner" for each category.  However just by doing the challenge you will be a winner.  If you can not make the April 20 registration date, just check in with our front staff and we'll register ....

  • Boxers take the Gold!

    (St. Catharines) – Shadi Nader, Jonathan Gofar and Lexton Bates, three amateur boxers training out of Kombat Arts Training Academy in Mississauga, came away with three gold medals after competing in the Ray McGibbons Gloves Tournament.   A Male Novice Junior fighting in the 60-64kg weight class, Jonathan Gofar Knocked Out Andre Findley   (Cabbagetown Boxing) at the ten-second mark of the first round.  Fighting in the Male Novice Senior division, fighting in the 60-64kg weight class, Shadi Nader defeated Troy Hartman (Cabbagetown Boxing) via walkover. Lexton Bates, another Male Novice Senior, fighting in the 64-69kg weight class, defeated Joe Elliot of Barrie at the one-minute ....

  • Brian Beauchamp Tearing up the BJJ Scene

        After training in Florida for the month of March at Black Trunk Martial Arts in Fort Myers, Florida under BJJ Black Belt Sean Wilson, Brain Beauchamp representing Team Equipe Fabricio Jui Jitsu   of   Rio de Janeiro Brazil  won the Gold in the NAGA Grappling Tournament in West Palm Beach with his team mates from Black Trunks and then traveled across the country and won a Gold Medal at the Pan-Am Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Championships in Carson , California!  Awesome work Brian, we are all proud of you, Jd ....

  • Sambo at the Kombat Arts!

      On April 26 Kombat Arts will be hosting Eugene Shewshuk from Club Kozak for a Combat Sambo seminar from 9.00 AM to 1.00 PM.  Combat Sambo resembles older forms of Judo and modern mixed martial arts, including extensive forms of striking and grappling.  But most of all Sambo is best known for its wide array of devasting leglocks.  The seminar is only $50, so take advantage of it while you  can!  Jd ....

  • Judo at the Kombat Arts!

    We are happy to announce that we will be introducing a trial class of Judo at the Kombat Arts starting Wednesday, April 16.  This class will be held every Wednesday evening at 8.00 PM and will be taught by Brad Varsava.  Brad began Judo in 1987 and has also trained in other martial arts including Thai boxing under Kru Roberto Herrera and Kru Joey de Los Reyes and has also studied the following martial arts: Sumo, Gatka, Muso Shinden Ryu Iaido, Shuriken jitsu and Combat knife throwing.  This class is open to both beginners and advanced students.  Judo is a great martial art to get in shape and it also has some really cool "real world" applications.  We look forward to seeing you guys ....

  • Wagnney Wins MMA Match by KO!
